The 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be a one-day cricket competition for sixteen international U-19 cricketing teams which will be held in August 2012. This will be the ninth edition of the tournament.The event will be staged in the Australian state of Queensland, with matches being shared between the cities of Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Townsville.
16 teams will participate in the competition. The 10 nations with ICC Full Membership automatically qualify for the tournament. 6 additional teams qualified through the 2011 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier which was held in Ireland.
